BSTDB Headquaters featured at Ktirio magazine
We are proud to see one of the projects we have had the privilege to support featured in the latest edition of ΚΤΙΡΙΟ + ΑΡΧΙΤΕΚΤΟΝΙΚΗ magazine.
The article, titled “Black Sea Trade and Development Bank – The First LEED Platinum-Certified Building in Thessaloniki”, presents the headquarters of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, located next to HUB 26, Thessaloniki’s first large-scale bioclimatic business park.
The project represents an important milestone for sustainable development in Northern Greece, becoming the first building in Thessaloniki to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
Its sustainability strategy combines the reuse of the existing building’s load-bearing structure—significantly reducing the embodied carbon associated with construction—with a high-performance building envelope, energy-efficient systems, optimized daylighting, bioclimatic design principles, and state-of-the-art photovoltaic installations.
The project also promotes low-carbon mobility through its proximity to public transportation, dedicated bicycle parking, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, helping to reduce transportation-related carbon emissions throughout the building’s life cycle. At the same time, measures focused on occupant well-being contribute to creating a healthier, more comfortable, and higher-performing working environment.
Together, these integrated strategies demonstrate how thoughtful design and a holistic approach to sustainability can deliver significant environmental benefits while enhancing both building performance and the experience of its users.
A sincere thank you to KTIRIO for featuring the project, and to DIMAND S.A. for entrusting us with its sustainability journey. Congratulations to the Black Sea Trade & Development Bank (BSTDB), and to all the professionals whose expertise, collaboration, and commitment contributed to bringing this remarkable project to life.
We are particularly grateful that we had the opportunity to contribute as the LEED Consultant, supporting the project team in achieving its ambitious sustainability goals. Being part of this remarkable project and celebrating its success together with the entire project team is a source of great pride for us.
